HEAD OF PAN DISABILITY FOOTBALL FOR GOSPORT BOROUGH YOUTH.

Gosport Borough Youth is currently in the process of setting up a couple of PAN disability football
teams. PAN Disability is the integration of disabilities to play in a single format of football, which is
then divided into ability banded football.

The players that we are working with at present are children with Autism, ADHD (Attention
Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) and ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder).

U12’s is the lowest age group able to take part in league games and tournaments. Each team will
have at least 3 coaches. The teams will train at a local venue in Gosport at least once a week. The
age banding for U12’s is from age 9 to age 12 (school years 4 to 7) playing on the same teams.
League games take place on the first Sunday of every month at a central venue which is currently
held at Cantell School in Southampton. Match format of 5v5. Each team will typically play between 3 to 4 games per event (depending on the number of teams available on the day). Games will last
approximately 12 minutes.

Once the first couple of teams have become established, we will look at expanding to cater for
different disabilities.

All coaches will have a DBS and complete the Disabilities Coaching Badge.

We will also be providing a PAN youth development setup, to run alongside our current youth
development setup. Currently for the U12 bracket age 9 to 12 (year 4 to year 7 at school). If
successful and sufficient numbers of coaches, we will expand to cater for other age groups and
different disabilities.

All coaches will have a DBS and complete the Disabilities Coaching Badge.
