Gosport Borough Whites won the recent U10 section of the Hamble youth tournament.
After Qualifying in 3rd place from the group stages, winning 2 drawing 2 and losing 1, they went on to beat Horndean Hawks Eagles in the quarter finals on penalties. The match finished with a draw in normal time after a physical battle!
In the semi final they played Borough Oranges and won.
They then progressed to the final where they beat Pickwick Lions, again on penalties after drawing in normal time. They avenged the group stage loss to them as they were the only team to originally beat our team.
The final was a tight, well fought match. Both teams battled hard and played some good football.
Whites had quite a few lads with injuries but they battled through to the win with a little help with the keeper who saved us not only in the quarter final penalties but the final as well.
We won through sudden death.
